Street and drainage improvements on 8th Street in Newhall, from Cross Street up to and including Parkview Drive, began in July and will continue until mid-September 2007.
The project will address the problems of stagnant water and damaged asphalt pavements within this residential intersection. It also includes the installation of a storm drain system, gutters, inverted shoulders and resurfacing of 8th Street from Cross Street to Parkview Drive including Parkview Drive.
The total cost of the construction project is $300,000, which was awarded on June 12, 2007 to R.C. Becker & Son, Inc.
Temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted prior to construction to give residents advance notice if and when vehicles need to be moved.
