The one thing all of the walkers in this years Relay For Life event had in common was the reason they were participating in the America Cancer Society event that raised nearly $500,000 this year alone.
They either have or had cancer or know somebody who has been afflicted. Super Jerr Prusa walked on the “Chemo Amigos” team for Joey Canso of Valencia, 25 years of age, who recently underwent chemotherapy for Hotchkins Lymphoma. He flew a kite while his team participated in the Santa Clarita event. It and the attendee’s spirits soared, despite the ongoing devastating affects of the disease.
