What makes Santa Clarita the place to be the first weekend in October? Why, the third annual Loose Goose Wine Festival, of course. Gather the flock for this year’s edition October 4 to 7.
Last year’s event attracted 5,400 festival-goers amidst an impressive gathering of vineyards, vendors and headline entertainment. Hailed as Southern California’s largest wine event, this year’s festival will offer more than ever before. Up to 100 vineyards and as many as 50 luxury-related vendors will migrate to the Santa Clarita Valley for this regional event.
“Whether you’re interested in discovering new wines or finding old favorites, guests will enjoy a selection of the finest varietals today’s wine world has to offer,” said Peter Goossens, founder and namesake of The Loose Goose, “From the hip and trendy vineyards just entering the marketplace to established growers and family vineyards well known for their world-acclaimed wines, the mix of vineyards at the festival is truly remarkable, offering something for every wine lover.”
Plan ahead to invite family and friends to share in an exceptional weekend designed for everyone, from the wine-savvy enthusiast to the occasional buyer intent on discovering new wines that please the palate. Complete with wine pairing dinners, the Loose Goose Golf Classic, and the posh Golden Goose Gala, all roads lead to the main festival event in Bridgeport Park in Valencia on October 6 and 7.
The Loose Goose Wine Festival After Dark returns on Saturday, October 6 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. This evening event features live music, dancing, wine tasting, food selections and shopping.
Festival-goers will enjoy more of the same exquisite tastes on Sunday, October 7 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. as the Loose Goose Wine Festival gains full momentum in a traditional afternoon park setting. Adding to a day of spectacular wine tasting, more live entertainment wraps up the nearly weeklong festival activities.
“This event is sure to captivate the senses in a way that invokes the enchantment of old world European post harvest festivals,” Goossens added. A portion of the festival proceeds benefits the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation, the Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund and the Santa Clarita Valley Jaycees.
Join the flock. Festival tickets may be purchased online or at participating vineyards, vendors and restaurants. General festival admission tickets are $40 advance purchase; $55 at the gate.
