Dr. Carole Randolph has been practicing orthodontics in Valencia for 12 years this month from her butterfly-filled office in the City Hall Building.  Earlier this year, she began treatment of her 3,000th smile in Santa Clarita, including nearly 1,000 adult smiles.  Now she’s spreading her wings and moving to a new, more spacious office.

Soon after Labor Day, Dr. Carole and her staff will relocate to a building at the corner of Constellation and Kelly Johnson Parkway, on the same street as the Copperhill Wal-Mart. “We’ve needed more space for a while,” explains Dr. Randolph. “Opening a new office lets us implement the newest and safest X-ray and sterilization equipment, and it provides a lot more room for patients and visitors.” The new space is more than twice as large as her existing office.

Much of the new space is dedicated to comfortable waiting areas.  “When we planned our first office, we underestimated how many people with quick appointments would bring along siblings and friends,” admits Dr. Carole.  “During peek hours, people spilled into the hallways.  At the new office, there’s plenty of room and plenty of parking.”

There’s also plenty to do while waiting.  A new kid’s zone is stocked with comfortable chairs and vintage games, such as foosball and board games.  Dr. Randolph knows her kids, Jesse, 12 and Carter 11, get more than enough electronic games at home.  She has also installed a semi-circle theater where visitors can watch DVDs and TV programs.  For basketball fans, she has balls for use in the small park across the street.

For butterfly fans, look forward to seeing a few additions to the collection, including a mural by local artist Miguel Ramirez.  “I’ve always been attracted to the beauty of butterflies,” says Dr. Randolph. “And we thought they were a great metaphor for transformation.”

This office represents a transformation, too.  “We take pride in keeping abreast of the latest technologies, providing the best care possible, and respecting people’s schedules,” says Dr. Randolph.  “This new space gives us an opportunity to serve our patients even better.”
