The announcement of a completely new line of iPods by Apple Inc. on September 5 is great news for consumers. The iPod continues to be the coolest Media Player on the market. I don’t know how many iPods Apple can sell, but it seems to me that there is no end in sight.
There is nothing like an iPod. Movies, television shows and oh yeah, music (remember when it was only a music player?) and now you can surf the Internet on an iPod.
Apple Inc. has rolled out all new and all improved iPods to set the bar higher yet again. I don’t know one of my friends who doesn’t have or want an iPod. It’s part of pop culture and Apple has made an electronic gadget/toy more and more desirable each time they roll out a new one. I know that I usually can’t wait to see the new stuff Apple comes out with and it seems like the frequency at which they are producing new and exciting updates is rapidly increasing. How many new products can Apple come up with? Over the last month, they have introduced new iMacs, an update to the Mac Mini, iLife and iWork 08 updates, iPhone and iPod updates, and in a little over a month, a whole new operating system, phew.
The one thing I love most about owning a Mac store is that I get to see your faces light up just like a child on Christmas morning, as you open your new Mac, iPod or accessory. It’s so much fun to get a new toy, it takes me back to when I was a kid.
I’m certainly very glad that Apple has given me a chance to enjoy the fruits of their labors. I get to witness the smiles of anyone who switches to a Mac from their PC, who upgrades their Mac or who I get to help out with a problem they might be having with their Mac. I love that Apple comes out with products that so many of us want to own. I wish I could own one of everything Apple makes just because I love anything they come up with.
Who out there reading this right now doesn’t want to go out and get a new Mac, iPod, Apple TV, iPhone or great piece of software Apple makes? For my money, Apple is the company I trust to keep my love of cool, functional, exciting and really cost-effective gadgets alive and kicking.
