All aboard the weekend Pumpkinliner or search for the headless horseman or fright night murder mystery dinner train in October.  Fillmore & Western Railway has frightfully fun train excursions to delight every age goblin looking for Halloween adventures.

Every Saturday and Sunday in October, there are four train departure times where families climb onboard the vintage train cars of the Pumpkinliner and take a leisurely ride to our private pumpkin patch carved from the middle of an orange grove.  At the patch, there are thousands of pumpkins to choose from, prices start at $1 or take a chance and enter the haunted house, a maze created out of bales of hay.  There are bouncy houses, a fantastically spooky graveyard, a creepy witch, just waiting to have brave souls sit on her lap and share scary stories and also a great photo opportunity.  Arts and craft vendors are in abundance, a face-painter extraordinaire and a scrumptious barbeque tri-tip booth with other Halloween edibles.

Two Halloween dinner trains are also offered in October.  “Search for the Headless Horseman” runs on October 17, 19, 21, 26 and 28.  Once at our destination Ichabog, which is our private pumpkin patch, passengers are treated to a delicious barbeque feast.  After dinner it’s all aboard the train to commence the search for the headless horseman.  It’s a great evening of family fun.

Fright Night is the theme of the murder mystery dinner train every Saturday night in October.  Fillmore & Western Railway claims their murder mystery dinner trains are “The only place where murder is a laughing matter.”  The three-hour evening train ride includes a first-class, three-course dinner and passengers choose from Roast Prime Rib, Cilantro Salmon, Chicken Cordon Bleu or Cheese-stuffed Pasta Shells Alfredo.
Choose one or all three Halloween-themed train rides to celebrate the season.
