Local utilities have incentive programs and rebate programs so, please, we encourage you to check with your local utilities and find out how you too can benefit.
General Electric – Front load washer and dryer by GE. Star guidelines by 16 percent. They can be installed under-the-counter, side-by-side or stacked. The washer’s total energy and water savings can pay for the initial cost of the washer over its life.
Décor 36-inch refrigerator/freezer – This unit has a double French door bottom freezer. This new design offers wider shelf space and gallon storage in the doors. The cabinet depth features multiple temperature sensors and adaptive defrost system. The door even has an alarm to prevent unwanted energy loss.
Whirlpool Speed Cook oven – Cooks as quickly as a microwave and 47 percent faster than a traditional oven and acts as a convection oven, grill and steamer. The ventilation system uses multiple filters to draw way cook top steam and odors. It really improves air quality.
Solar-assisted tankless water heating systems – The solar water heaters contain copper tubing capable of holding 40 gallons of water, which feed from the roof down to the tankless water heater. If the water is hot enough the heater will not kick in and the water flows straight to the tap. If the water is below the set temperature (approx. 130 degrees) then the tankless water heater turns on to increase the temperature. After a 14-month test, the solar-assisted tankless system used an average of two thirds less energy than the tank system.
