Oprah loves this product; so does Larry King.  What is it you ask?  It’s XOCAIä Healthy Chocolate.  Most Americans tend to think of chocolate as nothing more than a sweet candy treat.  Well, I am here to tell you that chocolate is no longer just a quick fix for your sweet tooth.  XOCAIä (pronounced “sho-sigh”) Healthy Chocolate is made from a combination of the world’s two greatest super foods – raw cacao and the acai berry.  Both raw cacao and the acai berry from the Amazon are powerful antioxidants.

The antioxidants in all foods are measured by the foods’ capacity to absorb free radicals.  The ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) values, as determined by the United States Department of Agriculture, measure the capacity of food to absorb oxygen free radicals.  The USDA website recommends an antioxidant intake in the range of about 3,000 to 5,000 ORAC per day.  However, recent studies seem to indicate that those leading a more active lifestyle may require higher levels of antioxidants.  Research also suggests that if we obtain at least 5,000 ORAC daily, our bodies in many cases will be able to fight off the damaging effects of free radicals.

In today’s society, it is difficult for one to prevent chronic illness and to achieve optimal health, as many people consume diets that are both high in fat and sugar.  However, today’s health – conscious consumers are quickly learning that dark chocolate retains many impressive health properties that are overwhelmingly supported by science.  You will be amazed by the number of studies that show that dark chocolate may help decrease cardiovascular disease; lower blood pressure; help the body utilize sugars better, thus preventing diabetes; decrease the inflammation associated with arthritis and much, much more.

Believe it or not, chocolate can be good for you and healthy chocolate does exist.
