It’s that time again!  That time to make those New Year’s Resolutions and “start over”, drop those bad habits and begin anew.  Do you have a list?  Do you know what you want?  Did you have the same things on your list for last year?  What is it about the New Year that makes everyone want to change?  For the most part, people are just not living the lives that they want to live.  Every New Year brings, hope, desire and dreams to the forefront.  Many people become inspired and ready to make that big change in their lives.
The excitement of the New Year, the possibilities ahead, the glimpse of living the life of what dreams are made.  Yet so many people give up on themselves.  The dreams fizzle out, sometimes in the first day, especially when someone tries to go cold turkey with a major addiction.  What happens?  Why do so many people’s New Year’s Resolutions become disappointments?  You may hear ,“I failed again.  Oh well, maybe next year.”  One of the keys is that every person has something different that motivates them.  What works for one person may not work for another.  Change in a gentle nature is the best approach.  There is no such thing as a start and an end to change.  There is no such thing as failure.  There is only finding the right way that works for you.  When babies fall and get up, it is in the getting up that the muscles in their legs get the strength to be able to support them when they walk and stand.  When you use this approach to change, you allow change to come to you and you can find ways that really work to change your life and start living the life of your dreams.  Claim your life, claim your power and never, ever give up on your dreams.  Give yourself a new start.  A “Follow Your Dreams Workshop”, facilitated by Kimberly Barclay, Life Coach, held one time per month through 2008 is one way.  Attend a “Dream or Vision Board” class with her to help you stay on track.  Personal coaching is another way to help you find your own specific recipe for living the life of your dreams.
