In celebrating the 25th anniversary of Saugus High School, during the 1999-2000 school year, the athletic department established the Centurion Athletic Hall of Fame. To pay tribute to a quarter century of outstanding athletic achievements, our Gym foyer took on a new appearance during the summer. This facility now showcases teams, athletes, coaches, records and memorabilia from the past. It is our desire to display our rich tradition and honor those who have escalated its heritage.
Nomination Procedures — The Saugus High School Athletic Department will be accepting nominations for the Saugus Centurion Athletic Hall of Fame through February 29, 2008. Nomination forms are available now by going to the Saugus sports website www.saugussports.com. Fill out the form and mail it to the Athletic Department c/o Kevin Miner. The address of Saugus High School is 21900 West Centurion Way, Saugus, California 91350. Forms are also available in the Athletic office at Saugus High.
Notification of Inductees — We will contact each new inductee as soon as possible after votes have been tabulated. Contact will be made by mailing a letter of congratulations and whenever possible by telephone communication. We will inform new inductees of timeline dates and procedures in order to organize his/her calendar. We will also have them start thinking about whom they would like to present them at the annual Hall of Fame Dinner. In addition, we will request an updated photo of them for reproducing for their Hall of Fame plaque and media releases.
