We have the 4-1-1 on all the celebrities spotted in our Valley! Once word spread that we were seeking the help of our readers to be on the lookout for celebrities, our e-mails were bombarded with sightings! Do you remember setting sail aboard the Pacific Princess each week and embarking on a romantic and comical journey with Captain Stubing and his crew? Actor Gavin MacLeod, who played Captain Stubing on the Love Boat, was seen at a recent photo shoot with the local SCV Soroptomist Club. He is this year’s celebrity host for the Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley’s annual fundraising auction. The event will take place Saturday, March 8, at the Hyatt Valencia. And who could forget the obsessive-compulsive police detective Adrian Monk, from the hit television series Monk? Actor Tony Shalhoub was seen at MB2 Raceway. Also spotted at MB2 Raceway was hunky Grey’s Anatomy star, actor Eric Dane, otherwise known as McSteamy.
Actors aren’t the only ones roaming around our Valley. Two musicians were seen dining in the SCV. American Country singer, Trace Adkins was spotted at Margarita’s Mexican Grill in Valencia. Santa Clarita resident Erin Schoenfeld witnessed the singer enjoying a leisure dinner. Erin stated, “We overheard him say how wonderful it was to get away from L.A. and be in the ‘country’.” Also dining in our Valley was drummer Rikki Rockett from the famous rock band, Poison. Preschool Assistant Director Liz DiPinto spotted Rikki at Athena’s Rotisserie and Pizzeria in Canyon Country.
Ultimate Fighting Champion’s lightweight BJ “The Prodigy” Penn was seen at Big John McCarthy’s Ultimate Training Academy in Valencia. Fighting out of Hilo, Hawaii, BJ is the current lightweight champion, and was seen attending a seminar at the Academy.
