with a MovePopular BBQ Dining Destination, Rattlers, Relocates To Brand New Structure
One of the Santa Clarita Valley’s most popular restaurants is celebrating its 20-year anniversary with a gift to the community — a brand new location. Rattler’s Bar B Que, a popular dining destination best known for its value-oriented menu and many barbecue selections, has opened its doors at a brand new, free-standing location at Centre Pointe Marketplace (26495 Golden Valley Road at McKeon Parkway) alongside the new WalMart, Wickes Furniture and Sam’s Club.
Founded in 1988 by cousins Kaduri and Ofer Shemtov, Rattler’s proved an immediate hit with Canyon Country residents as well as those from all around the Santa Clarita Valley. Its casual, family oriented approach to dining combined with its thriving take-out and catering divisions propelled Rattler’s to become one of the area’s most popular destinations and even spawned two other wildly successful concepts, Stonefire Grill and Wood Ranch BBQ. From grilled tri-tip, ribs and chicken to a wide variety of salads, burgers, appetizers and sandwiches, Rattler’s has developed a loyal cadre of “regulars” who cite the menu’s variety and overall value for their frequent visits to the restaurant. The menu will remain in place with new items continually being added. In addition, the new restaurant will feature a full bar.
“We’re delighted to celebrate 20 years of serving the community by relocating to a beautiful new environment where the emphasis is on aesthetics and comfort,” said Kaduri Shemtov. “Our family of employees, many of whom have been with us the entire 20 years, are excited to show off our new restaurant and look forward to many more years of serving the dining public.”
Among its chief design elements that will surely distinguish it among the region’s countless other restaurants is a unique, artistic boot collection. Each of the 51 boots, which are situated throughout the restaurant, has been hand decorated by artist Celeste Korthase to reflect a particular theme. The overall interior was completed by West End Design with Peggy Steffe leading the project.
“With its varied menu and overall value, Rattler’s has long been a favorite destination among the dining public so the design was intended to be both warm and inviting thus setting the stage for the food,” said Steffe. “We also wanted to create a sense of fun and whimsy and Celeste helped us achieve that with the boot theme. We look forward to sharing the new Rattler’s with the community and hope that the design generates some positive feedback.”
A number of promotions and fundraisers are being planned to celebrate the new Rattler’s. Details will be released at a later date.
As has been a tradition at Rattler’s and its sister Stonefire Grill restaurants, uniformed military personnel receive 50 percent off their meals.
