Inner Circle Foster Care & Adoption Services is the premier foster care and adoption provider to the San Fernando, Santa Clarita, and Antelope Valleys. We provide both temporary and permanent homes for children who have been abused or neglected by carefully assuring that their medical, social, emotional, and educational needs are met. Children placed through Inner Circle are of all ethnicities and range in age from newborn to 18 years. Since our inception in 1991, we have provided such care to over 1,350 children.
Children remain in the foster care system for varying lengths of time, while their parents are offered services by the County of Los Angeles, Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to help them remedy problems that put their children in harms way. If DCFS determines that the children will not be able to return home to their biological family the foster family will be the first family considered as a potential adoptive family. It is that very reason that foster parenting has become a very viable route towards accomplishing a family’s goal of adoption.
What makes Inner Circle so special:
• Commitment not to move children from foster home to foster home. Their first placement should be their only placement.
• Commitment that all homes are dually prepared for foster care and adoption. This allows us to meet every child’s needs, whether that child is in need of temporary foster care or an adoptive “forever family”.
• Commitment to parent these children as if they were our own. We not only meet the child’s basic needs but enroll our children in extracurricular activities, attend school functions, provide tutoring, etc.
We believe that all children deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and provided with a safe and loving home. We believe children who are afforded this opportunity will mature into healthy, happy, and productive adults. We hope you will share our passion.
Inner Circle provides extensive pre-service training, provides 24 hour emergency support, weekly in-home social work support provided by Master’s level social work professionals, and ongoing foster parent training. As an agency, in order to promote community within the agency, we host several annual agency events, namely our Foster Parent Appreciation Dinner, Annual Summer Roller Skating Party, and the Holiday Party, frequently attended by Santa Claus.
Inner Circle is fully accredited, receiving the highest rating possible, by The California Alliance of Child and Family Services. Inner Circle is also licensed as a private Adoption Agency allowing the agency to conduct home studies and dually prepare potential parents for both foster care and adoption.
