“Food, Glorious Food”, the popular song from the well-known musical “Oliver” is the title of this year’s annual Taste of the Town celebration and an apt description of the event. With more than 45 local restaurants, caterers, breweries and wine merchants gathering together to provide a sumptuous feast to bring awareness to and raise funds for the Child & Family Center, this year’s event promises to please the most discriminating palettes, community minded residents and Sunday afternoon fun seekers.

Taste of the Town is more than a “taste”…it’s an experience.  Activities will include food and drink, a background of cool jazz, cooking demonstrations, opportunity drawings for a seven-day Princess Caribbean Cruise, a $5,000 one-carat round brilliant cut diamond, incredible sealed bid auction chances and other fabulous, high-value prizes.

While it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of “Food, Glorious Food”, it’s important to remember the many children and families who are helped every day by the Child & Family Center’s services.  The annual Taste of the Town, now in its 32nd year, is a fundraising event that provides the much needed financial support to continue helping Santa Clarita kids with emotional and behavioral problems.

Now in its 7th year as the Presenting Sponsor, Valencia Acura is joined by a long list of other sponsors, donors and supporters who help to make this event such a success year after year.  The Magazine of Santa Clarita is once again pleased to be counted among that list with its continued sponsorship of this worthy organization.

Don’t miss it.  Sunday, May 4, starting at 2 p.m. at the lush Mann Biomedical Park…come hungry, enjoy the day and help celebrate the great work of the Child & Family Center on behalf of the kids of our valley.
