The Santa Clarita Artists’ Association (SCAA) is gearing up to host its annual fundraiser the Art Classic.  This fall will mark the 19th year for this gala event, which brings together art, music, wine and food in grand style.  Over 120 pieces of original art from over 50 local and regional artists will be exhibited and judged. The wide variety of styles and subjects including, realism, impressionism, abstract, plein air, figurative, landscape, wildlife and still life will delight the senses.

This event presents an opportunity for corporate, individual, and media sponsors to actively increase the visual art offerings in Santa Clarita and to participate in a first class cultural affair.  Sponsors, whether with in-kind services or donations, are vital in covering the significant cost of facility fees, catering, and promotional materials. Sponsorship levels range from $250 to $5,000.  Benefits include having your name and/or logos on promotional materials, which include event flyers, posters, advertisements, signage, programs, and banners. Additionally, sponsors will receive VIP tickets to the event commensurate with the level of support.

The SCAA was started in 1989 and is the only non-profit organization in town concerned with visual art. The association continuously aims to improve the cultural aspects of Santa Clarita by “Making Visual Art Visible” and providing opportunities for creative growth and expression to our community.  The SCAA is the community partner with Providence Holy Cross in their “Art of Healing Program” where an art contest is held for elementary children in the Santa Clarita Valley with a U.S. Savings Bond awarded to the winner. Displays of fine art, which provide patients with an uplifting and inspiring atmosphere, are exhibited throughout the cancer care facilities.  Art exhibits can also be viewed by the public at the Canyon Theatre Guild, Artistic Smiles Dental Office, Capelli Salon, and Fine Faucets. As part of our community outreach efforts, the SCAA participates in the Street Festival and Amgen Tour with a creative activity for children and youths. As funding allows, workshops, art enrichment and education classes are conducted for the benefit of residents. Annually, the SCAA awards scholarship(s) to high school or college students pursuing art as a career.  Help support these programs and expand the relevance of visual arts in Santa Clarita by becoming a sponsor.
