Have you dreamed of becoming a voice actor? Want the inside info on what it takes to be successful? Let a professional help you. Cashman Commercials is one of the few production companies in the country that offers comprehensive courses in voice acting. Specializing in commercial voice acting, Creative Director and owner Marc Cashman creates, casts and produces copy and music advertising for radio and television clients such as Kroger, Charles Schwab, Quizno’s, Pella Windows, Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer and many more. Marc’s voice has been heard locally, regionally, nationally and internationally on radio, television, film, documentaries, radio plays, video games and audio books. “I am one of the few voice actors in the U.S. who is on ‘both sides of the glass,’” states Marc. He’s not only a Clio-winning Radio and TV commercial copywriter, producer and casting director, but a working voice actor as well.
With 25 years of experience, classes at Cashman Commercials are intensive, challenging, practical, and a lot of fun. “I maximize mic time, and unlike most instructors, assign weekly exercises and homework. And I’m the only instructor in the country to give students a report card at the end of each course. It’s like an X-ray of your skills and talent. I give students more information in six weeks than most courses give out in a year!”
The six-week courses run for three hours per session, and each student is recorded on individual CD’s, which are provided, or flash drives, which students bring. They’re held in state-of-the-art studios in Burbank, Studio City or North Hollywood, cost just $500, are limited to eight students, and are for people 18 years old and over. Additional One-on-One V-O coaching services—personal training for voice actors, is also offered.
For professional instruction in a state-of-the-art environment from a veteran in the voice-over industry, study with Cashman Commercials. Students are given a comprehensive review of their abilities and suggestions for further instruction. Payments for classes can be made in installments—an initial $200 non-refundable deposit reserves your seat, a second $150 payment is due at the end of the first class, and the balance of $150 is due at the end of the fourth class.
On August 10, Marc Cashman will be a keynote speaker and panelist at VOICE 2008, the biggest gathering in the world of V-O aficionados and pros held in Century City, CA. For more information or if you’re interested in attending the August 7-11 event, visit www.voice-international.com
