TopSurgeons is proud to introduce Jay Jackson, MD. Dr. Jackson is a Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon with a keen eye for beauty and symmetry with extensive surgical training to match. Dr. Jackson is fully trained in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Jackson completed training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. This provided broad-based training and experience in the full gamut of facial, breast, and body cosmetic procedures including breast augmentation, breast reduction and mastopexy or breast lift, facelifts, necklifts, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, brow lifts, abdominoplasties or tummy tuck surgery, liposuction and body contouring procedures such as brachioplasties or arm lifts, and thigh lifts.
Dr. Jackson also received extensive training in complex reconstructive facial and body procedures such as skin grafting, nose, ear, and scalp reconstruction, burn reconstruction, microvascular free flap tissue coverage, cleft lip and palate repair, breast and nipple reconstruction, reconstruction of facial trauma such as mandible or jawbone and nasal fractures, chest wall reconstruction, and hand surgery.
Dr. Jackson combines an artistic approach in assessing aesthetic consultations with a strong technical background honed during his general surgery training. Prior to plastic and reconstructive surgery training, Dr. Jackson trained for five years in general surgery and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Jackson gained experience in such surgical disciplines as trauma and critical care, breast cancer surgery, gastrointestinal tract endoscopy and surgery, endocrine, pediatric and vascular surgery. Additionally, Dr. Jackson had a particular interest and a wealth of experience in laparascopic and bariatric or weight-loss surgery. Dr. Jackson developed a strong desire in helping morbidly obese patients achieve overall better health through weight loss surgery.
In addition to an extensive surgical background, Dr. Jackson brings an enthusiastic approach in his interaction with patients. Dr. Jackson joins TopSurgeons, Inc. as the newest addition to their surgical team and is looking forward to helping patients achieve their best possible look.
