Three Blonde Moms — A couple of years ago, a comedian whom I had known for several years called me up and said I have this new show that I have put together called Three Blonde Moms.
Before she could finish the sentence, I said, “I will book it.” Let me think, my club is in Valencia, the heart of the Santa Clarita Valley, where everyone you see is a blonde mom. It might be popular here. Well, guess what? It has become the most requested show we have ever had at J.R.’s Comedy Club. So much so, that I have had to add shows. Now we do four shows every time the Three Blonde Moms come to the club. The cast has changed over the years, but the constant is that these are three very funny young ladies that the audiences in Valencia, men and women, young and old, relate to.
They got their start with me a few years ago, and the show has exploded across America in a huge way. In some cities, they are filling theaters. The last time they came to J.R.’s, was the week that the fire occurred on the freeway in the truck tunnel. A lot of people missed the shows that week because of the freeway closing. Well, good news! They are back this month on September 19 and 20, with shows at 7 p.m. and at 9 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights. The early shows are the dinner shows. We will have very limited dinner seating for the 9 p.m. shows on the restaurant side.
