I received a notice by mail from the sanitation district advising that the rebate program for home owned automatic water softeners will soon be ending. For those who want to comply with the L.A.C.S.D ordinance and get money back for their softener, it may be wise to act now while there is still money left for that program, as the L.A.C.S.D slogan says, “Take the money and run.”
The most common questions asked of me from the article in September magazine are, “What is salt free water conditioning and what is the difference in water softening and water conditioning?”
The correct answer would be that all softened water is conditioned water but not all conditioned water is soft water. There are multiple benefits to both water softening and a whole house water conditioner. Any benefit however would be predicated on proper application and installation.
Our individual needs may vary and with the proper application we can enjoy a healthier life style as well as extending the effective service life of our water fixtures and appliances. Most tankless water heaters do require reduction of water hardness for their full warranty to be valid.
Again I would welcome any questions our readers may have. With your questions and my help, we can improve the quality of your water and keep your bathrooms and kitchen clean and shiny.
And if it is time to update your kitchen or bath, please make time to visit “My House” plumbing and hardware. They are located in Granary Square and offer full service design and consulting in a very friendly atmosphere.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
