Community members are invited to enjoy fun-filled holiday entertainment and festive activities for the entire family at Henry Mayo’s 23rd Annual Community Tree Lighting Sunday, December 7. The free holiday event, from 2 p.m. to Santa’s lighting of the tree at 5 p.m., included: free children’s holiday crafts; children’s crafts; letters to Santa; face painting; photos with Santa; entertainment; refreshments; and much more.
The Tree Lighting Ceremony provides the community a special opportunity to participate in the “Gift of Life Program,” in which donors help decorate the holiday tree with symbolic contributions from $15 to $1,000 toward multi-colored ornaments in honor or in memory of friends or loved ones. In return, donors are sent a commemorative ornament and the donors’ names will be inscribed in the hospital’s Keepsake Recognition Book, which will be on display during the Tree Lighting and in the hospital lobby throughout the holiday season. All donations benefit patient care services at Henry Mayo.
The year’s Community Tree Lighting sponsors include Andy Gump, Inc.
