I’m so excited to report that I sighted one of December’s most famous celebrities—yes! Santa Claus himself! I spotted Santa at the Westfield Valencia Town Center and asked the popular, red suited, bearded man if I could take a photo with him. With a huge holiday grin, he said, “Of course!” I also told him I’d send a copy of The Magazine of Santa Clarita to the North Pole so he could show all his elves. ‘Tis the season to be jolly!
She’s Natalie Teeger on the hit series “Monk”, but you might remember Traylor Howard from the television show “Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place”, or the movie “Me, Myself and Irene”. Saugus resident Kathy Cheriegate spotted Traylor and the Monk crew filming at the College of the Canyons.
Also sighted this month was Danny Romero from Channel 7 ABC News. Danny was seen at Valencia High School interviewing Micaela Velasquez. Danny came to Micaela’s school to interview her for the “Cool Kids” segment of the Eyewitness News. Danny joined the ABC 7 “Eyewitness News” Team in 2005, handling weekend weather and fill in duties along with co-hosting Vista L.A. and Cool Kids.
In other news—award winning broadcast journalist Rick Chambers was seen at Samuel Dixon’s Rubber Ducky Regatta at Castaic Lake. Rick joined the CBS 2 and KCAL 9 in October of 2003, and is a recipient of numerous Emmy’s for his work in the field and behind the anchor desk. He’s pictured with the staff of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Center.
For all you Ozzy Osbourne fans, talented guitarist Zakk Wylde was recently seen shopping in Valencia. Canyon Country resident Ann Marie Webb spotted the musician. “He seemed really nice,” states Ann Marie. Zakk is also founder of Black Label Society and was a lead guitarist and vocalist in Pride & Glory.
