We are extremely fortunate to live here in Southern California – with the weather, the opportunities to go skiing in the winter and to even enjoy the coastline the next day, and all the cultural and ethnic events that our communities have to offer.  Coming up here in February is a combined educational venue, museum showing and art sale that should not to be missed.  Saturday, February 7 is the prestigious “Masters of the American West” Fine Art Exhibition and Sale at the Autry National Center in Griffith Park right off the 5 freeway.  Internationally acclaimed artists such as Howard Terpning, Morgan Weistling (who resides here in SCV), Mian Situ, and over 70 internationally renowned artists will exhibit their work and be at the Autry showing.

I attended last year and had the most incredible time viewing the fine art which is tops in the world, and visiting with these incredible artists and friends.  If you have any questions about this event you can call me, go directly to the Autry web site at www.mastersoftheamericanwest.org or call them directly at 323-667-2000.  If you enjoy art and want to see some of the best, then don’t miss this presentation.

You can also go and see these paintings on display by visiting the museum for a period of time after the actual show, during normal museum operating hours. You also can view many of these artists’ limited edition canvases at B & R Gallery & Custom Framing, which is open to the public here in Canyon Country.

B & R Art Gallery and Framing is located at 17720 Sierra Highway in Canyon Country.  For more information, please call 661-298-2038.
