With all the negative news day after day and the drone of “the economy is falling apart,” why not take in some good art galleries and museum breaks as well as some fantastic “music breaks,” by going to choice concerts, or just listening to your favorite group on CD, or visiting us at B&R Gallery & Custom Framing, and having us design a beautiful preservation “shadow box” of your favorite event, and/or memories.  With all the horrible press anyone would get depressed if sitting too long watching it day to day.

Well enough is enough, and we are all being blasted with it daily.

My family’s solution to this problem of all the “gloom and doom” is to work hard, and out-create the negativity of the current culture and so-called “news.”  It is to my own surprise and amazement just how busy we all are and how much happier that keeps us.  Barbara and I have been running our beautiful museum, art gallery for 26 years, and we really appreciate all the friendships we have made, and how satisfying it has been to help people find their dream pieces to enrich their homes.

Recently we framed an antique movie poster as a gift for top CBS, Channel 2 television star, Mark Harmon.  His filming crew over Christmas pitched in and located an early movie poster his mom and dad starred in, The Sweetheart From Sigma Chi, circa 1946.  We had it linen-mounted and removed the folds and masking tape labels on the 60-plus-year-old folded poster.  It was framed in an antique ash two-and-a-half inch custom frame with double suede antique matting and was beautiful.   Mark was short for words and was very emotional when his co-actors and staff presented the gift for Christmas 2008.

As a service to our public, B&R Gallery design staff will spend painstaking hours in design for no extra charge to achieve perfection when it comes to the combination of your memorabilia.  This will display beautifully your treasured memories and collectibles for you and your family for many years to come.  We pride ourselves in your smiles, friendships, happiness and satisfaction!
