Over the last 28 years we have hung thousands of paintings and framed shadow box picture and framed mementos at our gallery, in clients’ homes and offices, and in our own home. There are times when customers ask us, “Is there a formula or particular way to hang art?” To answer this question is rather easy. In our opinion the best way to hang art is to do it by eying the wall where you plan to place your pictures and collectibles and start with a central spot, and work out the hanging of pictures from there. Of course you can use a tape measure and figure the distance from the top of the ceiling to where the wire will hang from the picture hanger nailed into the wall, but we have found, from long-time experience, that a good set of eyes and estimations of heights and widths and using your left hand if you are right-handed behind the picture to put your finger where you want the nail and hanger to go works very well. You have the option to always adjust a picture if it is a little to high or low even after hanging it, and that the combination of sizes — the picture combination you create, will look very creative and balanced if you concentrate on one picture at a time.
We do offer a picture-hanging service: When you purchase a picture from us and live locally in the Santa Clarita Valley or nearby Agua Dulce or Acton areas as well, we will hang the pictures you purchase for free. We will also help hang your pictures if you have personal things you need hung. You can call us for a free estimate. We also work in conjunction with a local mirror company and offer their services for hanging very large mirrors and other larger framed items. We have been here in Santa Clarita servicing our customers for over 25 years. You can always stop by our store if you have any questions or need any help to improve your home with wall decor as well as sculptures.
We display and promote many local up-and-coming artists here at B&R Gallery. Look for our upcoming art show in the fall of 2010 with local internationally renowned artist Morgan Wiestling and other local talent showing with Morgan.
