The Saugus High School cheerleaders have had an exciting and rewarding year.  On March 28 the competition squad took first place, earning them a National title in the small JV intermediate division at the USA West Coast Nationals in Anaheim.  The Competition Squad season also includes 2nd place at USA Regional, 1st place at X-Treme Games, and 3rd place at the Spirit Club International State Championship.  All the squads have been participating in city-wide events including the Diabetes Walk, the Santa Clarita Marathon, wrapping presents for the Santa Clarita Jaycees, and working the Saugus Cheer Clinic.  They help with many fundraisers for cheer, including birthday parties for little kids.  The success of this year is due to our wonderful coaches Jamie Willis, Faviana Rishko, Jessica Murphy, and Melissa Carr, along with the cheer advisor Christina Tolisano.   The Saugus Cheer organization consists of a hard working Booster Club, our many parents, and our fantastic sponsors: La Cocina Bar & Grill, Dr. Michael Leigh, Kathy Bost with Re/Max, Kathy Palmer with “Smell This” Candles, and Drs. Smudde Dental.
