Are you happy in your relationships with others? Do you value your work? What parts of your life aren’t perfect yet? More importantly, how much do you care? Enough to get healthy? Learn to communicate more effectively? Better yourself? By allowing poor habits to continue, we keep ourselves from happiness and success, and can damage our relationships without meaning to. Change is a matter of choice. Doing nothing is also a decision. So ask yourself…where do you want to be five years from now?
Habits have a powerful effect on us. Like gravity, they exert a tremendous pull on our thoughts and actions, more than most of us realize or want to admit. They influence all areas of life – nutrition, fitness, communication, relationships, intimacy, intelligence, guilt, stress, success – the list goes on. What are your poor habits? Blaming others when things go wrong? Jealousy? Overeating when you get bored or stressed?
Luckily, we are capable of self-awareness and change. To start living the life you desire, three things need to happen:
1. Raise your standards and your expectations for yourself and your life
2. Become aware of your self-limiting beliefs and habits
3. Set goals – make and keep promises to yourself and your loved ones
Whatever your current situation is, I assure you that you can change. Old self-defeating habits can be replaced with those that will lead to increased happiness and success. There’s obviously no quick or easy fix. Habits are not developed (or replaced) in a day.
Working with a Life Coach can provide the level of support needed for moving out of your comfort zone and becoming more accountable for your own life and future. You’ll begin to realize that making conscious choices and decisions will take you much closer to the life you desire.
This is it! Your future will be shaped by the decisions you make (or don’t make) today. You’ve got this one life. What do you want out of it? Get in touch with what matters most, and start living your life on purpose!
