Dr. David White is not your typical doctor; “Pastor Dave,” as his congregants call him, is a doctor of people’s spiritual, rather than physical, hearts.  As an avid reader, traveler, and family man, Pastor Dave sees his duty as an Evangelical Christian as a way to minister to hurting or lost people, and he believes NorthPark Community Church is a great place for people to receive vital Biblical grace and truth that will heal their broken spirits.
Considered a “non-denominational, conservative, protestant, evangelical fellowship,” NorthPark strives to be a “Christ-centered, Bible-believing, Relationship-focused” church.  Pastor Dave and a staff of highly motivated ministers wanted to create an atmosphere where anyone in the Santa Clarita Valley would feel welcome and loved.  The founders of the church realized quickly that, in order for families to feel at ease, they would need to establish programs for children and teenagers.  Desiring to have caretakers and activities for all ages, NorthPark offers nursery for infants, preschool and kindergarten for little children as well as AWANA, a program designed to inspire young kids to learn about the Bible.  But every age group and demographic needs fellowship, so NorthPark has groups for the youth, as well as college/career classes, men, women, and singles groups, not forgetting the older and wiser folks in the senior group, aptly called S.A.L.T. (Seasoned Adults Learning Together).  All of these programs are aimed to connect people together so that can experience how God works through people to extend His grace and truth.

For the past 15 years, NorthPark Community Church has had the vision to build a permanent facility in town for the entire community to use not only for worship services, but also for weddings, banquets, sports and other events.  As of May 17, that vision became reality as they opened the doors of their new 47,000-square-foot facility located on Kelly Johnson Parkway in Valencia (up the street from Wal-Mart). NorthPark Community Church accommodates many types of people simply by the variety of Sunday Service Times: Early birds can catch the 8 a.m. or 9 a.m. services, while the more lackadaisical crowd can still hear great preaching at the 10:30 a.m. or 12 p.m. services.  Pastor Dave endeavors to keep his messages creative and fun, but still biblically sound and Jesus-oriented.   He states that, “Instead of focusing on being ‘good’, we prefer (and believe the Bible teaches) to focus on being loving.” If you are searching for a place to connect with people who equally desire to learn more about God, NorthPark Community Church is the place for you.
