The Love Goddess is coming to Valencia! Hello again! What a July I have in store for you. We have a very special event coming the week of July 10 to 11 with the one and only Judy Tenuta, the Love Goddess. Judy will be performing with her trusty accordion three big shows, Friday July 10 at 9 p.m., and Saturday July 11 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
This will be her first time at J.R.’s and we can’t wait. Judy is one of the most original comedy characters to come along in our lifetimes. She was a winner of the American Comedy Awards Female Comic of the Year on ABC. She has a bitingly funny point of view and loves to pick on the icons of our pop culture. We expect these shows to sell out quickly, so please make plans early. Judy Tenuta is the most famous person that ever lived. If you don’t believe her, just ask her. She describes herself as a “Multimedia Bondage Goddess” and “Aphrodite of the Accordion.” She is actually a caring nurturer who wakes up at 8 p.m. to verbally abuse countless herds of mortal swine, her audience, and converts them to her signature religion “Judyism.”
Judy has starred in her own HBO, Showtime and Lifetime specials and has been seen on every major talk show. She has also been nominated twice for Grammy Awards! Along with Judy we have lots of great shows in July, including club favorite Mike Marino, “New Jersey’s Bad Boy,” who just shot a pilot for his own sitcom. It’s going to be a fun summer.
We have announced the start of our mini fundraisers on selected Fridays this summer. You can sell 50 tickets and raise at least $500 for your organization or charity, and have a blast doing it. Please contact me for details. Don’t forget about our celebrity golf classic coming in October at Robinson Ranch. Each foursome will play with a nationally know comedian. There will be a killer dinner and show after the golf, which is open to the public. All proceeds will go to the Santa Clarita Homeless Shelter. Come support us in our 11th year! See you soon.
