The summer season has begun and you couldn’t pick a better time to starting thinking about barbeque.  Lucky for the residents of Santa Clarita, we now have our very own top of the line barbeque restaurant, run by owners Tim and Donna Borruel.
The aptly named T-Bo’s House of BBQ is a savory choice for any family meal.  Like so many Americans, Tim Borruel has treasured memories of his childhood family trips, where barbequing the food was a staple for all campouts.  Influenced by those special memories, Tim developed a passion for sharing barbeque essentials with his own family, and now with the community through his exciting new restaurant endeavor.

With the help of his wife Donna and three children, Tim cultivated his life-long love of barbeque to shape an idea for a quality, authentic BBQ restaurant in Santa Clarita.  The Borruel’s employ a top-notch staff, including Robert Hancock as the general manager and Kyle Swanson as head chef.  Between Robert’s 30 years of restaurant experience, and Kyle’s culinary arts degree, T-Bo’s kitchen is bound to produce amazing food as well as quality customer service.

T-Bo’s features five major barbeque traditions from all across the USA, including Kansas City Style Ribs, Texas Brisket, Alabama White Sauce Chicken, North Carolina Pulled Pork, and Santa Maria Style Tri-Tip.   Using the only “Fast Eddie” slow-smoker in the SCV, all barbeque is smoked to delicious perfection.

One of the secrets to a great barbeque meal, as any wise connoisseur would divulge, is the accompanying dishes to the meat.  T-Bo’s suggests their selection of appetizers, which includes corn-battered Heart of Dixie Pickle Chips and Roasted Sweet Potato Dip.  If you are not already salivating over the smell of barbeque that you have re-imagined in your mind, just consider trying a few of their signature salads (Strawberry Salad, BBQ Chop Salad and T-Bo’s Orange Salad, to name a few).

Of course, no T-Bo’s meal is complete without one or their scrumptious desserts. Who could honestly turn down a chance to enjoy the Iron Skillet Smore – their take on the campout classic with graham cracker, chocolate brownie and marshmallow goodness, all skillet baked and served with a drizzle of chocolate ganache?

The great part about taking pleasure in such palatable barbeque eatery is the idea that this food can be enjoyed in a true family setting.  Decorated in authentic barbeque memorabilia and Americana shades of red, white and blue, T-Bo’s owners have designed it to always be a “special kind of friendly, family restaurant.”
