We are proud to announce that this month on August 14 and 15, at J.R.’s Comedy Club we are bringing you another star talent, the one and only Emo Phillips. Emo is widely regarded as one of the top 100 comedians of all time. Every line in his act is layered with genius. He has had numerous television specials on HBO, Showtime, and Comedy Central. He recently moved back to the United States from The UK where he is still a national star. This is a rare chance to see one of the most original and brilliant comedy minds at work, right here in Valencia.
We are also thrilled to be producing our first J.R.’s Comedy Club Celebrity Golf Classic coming up on October 12 at Robinson Ranch. Each foursome will play with a nationally known comedian. After the most fun you will ever have on a golf course, you will have a Gala Dinner, and comedy show with many of the comedians performing. All proceeds will go to The Santa Clarita Homeless Shelter. Whether you play golf that day, or just come to the dinner and show, you will have a sensational day, all for a good cause.
This shelter provided a warm bed, three meals and transitional support back into the work place for 227 individuals and 15 families last winter alone. They were also able to help 23 people find employment.
