It was an all-around “sweet” night on Saturday, August 8 at the first annual Sweet Charity Cake Auction benefitting the SCV Youth Project. While totals are still being calculated they most likely raised more than $10,000 that will go towards necessary services provided by SCV Youth Project.
Cakes were entered from all levels of bakers including Clarice’s Nancy Olmos and Jill Cox of Jill’s Cake Creations. One special cake designer took the night with her entry for Infinity Wealth Management. Nine-year old Kiora Sanchez of Kiora’s Bubblegum Bakery created an entry for her mothers company and took the trophy with a winning bid of $575 for her cake. The night was truly a success and while Kiora took home the trophy, everyone was a winner!
