We are very proud to announce the J.R.’s Comedy Club Celebrity Golf Classic, on Monday, October 12 at Robinson Ranch. All proceeds will be going to the Santa Clarita Homeless Shelter.
People will tell us that they did not even know there was a homeless shelter in Santa Clarita. The good people at The Santa Clarita Community Development Corp. have been providing three vital services to our most needy for the last 12 years. A warm bed to spend the night; three meals each day; transitional support to get back on their feet.
They provide hotel vouchers for families with children. They also provide a place to shower, and counseling. Hundreds of individuals were served through this program last year alone. Fifteen families were able to find a place to live, and 23 individuals were able to find employment. Their funding has been cut, so your help is needed. We have a very fun opportunity for you to have a terrific day of golf, along with a gala dinner and comedy show.
This golf tournament will be different in that each foursome will play with a nationally known headline comedian.
We have tentative commitment from some of the best comedy stars in the country, including Tom Dreesen, Craig Shoemaker, Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey from Full House), and dozens more.
After the golf, there will be a comedy show and many of them will perform. We need your help. We need sponsors, donations, volunteers, golfers, and word of mouth to spread the word. No amount of help is too small. Please contact David Hartmire our Tournament Coordinator at 661-799-7940 to lend your support. If your company can buy a sponsorship, that is huge. You can also buy a sign with your name, which will be on a Tee Box on the golf course. You can donate items for our silent auction. You can sign up to play golf. You can attend just the dinner and the show for just $75 per ticket. Please help us make this event a success.
