Touch of Faith Relay For Life Team is hosting a fundraiser on September 19 at the Elks Lodge 2379, located 17766 W. Sierra Highway in Canyon Country.
Touch of Faith team captains Vicki Sanchez and Lynne Ciotti invite you to Tapas Barcelona a dinner you will not want to miss! Not only will you enjoy a sensational five-course meal, you will be donating to the American Cancer Society/Relay For Life!
Relay For Life began 11 years ago in the Santa Clarita Valley. There were 25 teams and this last year we registered 130 teams! It is teams like Touch Of Faith holding fundraisers that helped Relay For Life break the half-million dollar mark this past May. This event features dinner and a no-host bar, silent auction and cancer survivor speakers while supporting the American Cancer Society programs and services which are available to anyone who needs them! The cancer journey is a difficult one-the American Cancer Society makes it a lot easier. All programs and services are free of charge! That is why this fundraiser is so important-as a non-profit organization, American Cancer Society programs and services are funded by donations. This is a way we all can help in the fight against cancer.
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s number one fundraiser to raise money to fund innovative cancer research, provide local programs and services to people affected by the disease, and offer education on prevention, early detection and treatment. This nationwide fund and spirit raiser is a memorable experience that celebrates survivorship and pays homage to those who have lost their battle with cancer. Last year we had 130 teams with members taking turns walking the track, with at least one member of each Team on the track throughout the entire event.
