The Rotary Club of Santa Clarita plans to support our wounded veterans who have contributed to the freedom of our great country. These men and women of our armed forces have sacrificed and given so much. SCV Rotary plans to provide support for them and their families to help normalize their daily lives.
Having researched government aid and subsidies, the SCV Rotary has determined that many needs of the veterans and their families are not being addressed by government programs. Many of these young veterans are now unable to care for themselves physically and emotionally. Parents and other family members now find themselves in a position they did not foresee, having to leave jobs and other family members behind to care for the daily needs of their disabled siblings.

Rotary’s foundation of “Service Above Self” is the basis of our concern for the well-being of these warriors who have dedicated their lives to the service of our country to protect the freedom all Americans enjoy.  In the words of Thomas Jefferson, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

As Rotarians, we are to serve and help those who have given their ultimate to the cause of liberty. God Bless America.
