On Friday, September 11 the Shooting Stars Centers’ Dance Performance Team hosted a Dance-a-thon Fundraiser to benefit the American Heart Association. This successful evening included 70-plus participants that danced for a full hour without stopping!
Our community showed that not only do we have healthy hearts, but happy ones too. Their efforts raised over $1,300 as well as raised awareness about the importance of funding medical research. Camille Freeman, the three-year-old daughter of Shooting Stars owner’s, was born with a congenital heart defect that was corrected at birth with a relatively new life saving procedure. The Performance Team will make the donation to the Heart Association as they participate in the Heartwalk LA in Pasadena on October 3.
