At times it can be hard to keep your head up and stay positive in the midst of an extremely stressful situation. There are times that even though you know the right thing to do, you don’t feel like doing it. You know you should pray, you know you should believe, you know you should trust God, but you just don’t feel like it. I know that you try to keep up the outer happy persona to protect your inner stressed-out self. I know there are times when the only party you want to attend is your very own “pity-party.” I know there are times when life seems to be too much, too fast. I know there are times when you wonder to yourself, “How much more of this can I take?”
I don’t know who I am writing this article for, but, I want to give you two words to tuck away in your spirit—keep believing. The obvious question becomes, “Why should I keep believing?” The first reason you should keep believing is because of your past. The first thing banks do when deciding upon whether or not to give you a loan is check your credit history. If you have a history of being faithful in the past, then they conclude that you will be faithful in the present and future. I wonder if I have anyone reading this article that can just stop a moment and check God’s credit. Look back on your past. Hasn’t He always been there? Hasn’t He always seen you through? Hasn’t He always made a way? I’m not saying it’s been easy. I’m saying that despite all of the stuff that you have been through, guess what, you’re still here! You’re still here because God is always faithful. God is always protecting. God is always loving. I know you’ve cried at times. I know you’ve stressed out at times. I know you’ve wanted to give up at times. I know you didn’t think you’d make it out at times. But the reality is—you’re still here! So, you might as well keep believing that the same God who brought you through that has every intention of bringing you through this. God has not brought you this far to walk out on you now. In fact, God has brought you this far because he has every intention of carrying you right into the destiny that He designed for you. So, keep believing!
