I am no expert in the field of gender analysis, however being a male, and the husband of a colon hydrotherapist at Optimal Health in Santa Clarita, I have observed several differences over the years and often wondered, why?

It appears men in general have difficulty talking about their bodily function when it comes to having a bowel movement, constipation or anything remotely related.  Just writing the words is a difficult task for me.  Women on the other hand, have less of a problem explaining to another female that they are suffering from diarrhea, constipation, cramping, bloating, you get the picture.  In fact, females can talk about this topic for an hour at a time.  I don’t know how my wife does it.

Okay ladies, you have the advantage on this one.  Women are comfortable discussing bodily functions and are more apt to do something about their bodily function concerns and well-being.  They are inquisitive, informative and show no embarrassment about subjects that men would rather not discuss or feel compelled to leave the room to discuss.  It’s amazing how men, despite how close they are with other men are unable to say, “You know I haven’t been able to go to the bathroom today.”

Here is the confusing part.  We all know “passing gas” is a normal bodily function.  Men will pass gas amongst buddies and often be proud of their accomplishments.  Women on the other hand are discreet and will avoid anyone knowing they just passed gas.  Yes, this is confusing to us guys.

The majority of my wife’s clients are female.  They don’t have difficulty having a colonic and often look forward to their next session because they feel a lot better.  Men on the other hand, and I am included here, will avoid having anything to do with the colon or anal area and would rather suffer silently.  We men need to take note and break down that wall.  It’s time to start feeling good and be comfortable with our bodily functions.  Next time your wife asks how your day went, tell her “I was constipated, bloated and miserable until I had a colon hydrotherapy session at Optimal Health!”  Trust me men and ladies, if I could survive this treatment and enjoy the health benefits of it, any man can!
