For more than 15 years, we have been offering practical solutions to physical barriers that can limit mobility in the home or in places of business.
We often receive questions from individuals, caregivers, family members, business owners and Occupational Therapists about attractive building solutions that can meet unique needs.
Here are a few frequently asked questions:

Q. My doorways are very difficult to get through with my wheelchair.  Can you do anything about this?
A. Yes.  Depending on your preference, we can widen doorways up to three feet wide for a single door or install double doors up to six feet.  We recommend sliding or pocket doors, where possible, as they take up less space.

Q. The steps and stairs in my home are becoming hard for me to climb.  Can you help?
A. Yes.  From ramps to elevators, we can create solutions that meet your needs and your budget.

Q. It’s become a danger for me to climb in and out of my bathtub.  Can you suggest a remedy?
A. Yes.  Our goal is to give our clients independence and peace of mind in a caring and professional way.  As an option, we could create an attractive roll-in shower with permanent or removable seating with no steps or curbs to worry about.

Q. Arthritis makes it difficult for me to twist door handles and water faucets.  Can you help?
A. Yes.  We can install lever handles in place of twist handles on doors and faucets or touchless systems that make it easier.

Q. We live in a mobile home.  Is it possible to build an accessible bathroom there?
A: Of course.  We can build virtually anywhere.

Q. Is there a way to make my kitchen useable again?  I haven’t seen what’s in my top cabinets for years.
A. We can install wall cabinets that are lower down to the countertops and pull out shelves that work like drawers.  If needed, we can craft spaces under sinks or cook tops for wheelchairs to roll under.

Q: Sound expensive?
A: We have been in this business a long time and in two countries.  Our prices are almost always substantially less than our competitors because adaptation work is all we do.  Give us a try.
