On Sunday, October 4, more than 40 bras graced the tables in a room at the Oaks Grille. But this was not a typical display of lingerie; decorated in a variety of world themes, the vibrantly decorated women’s undergarments were a part of the Sixth Annual Bras For A Cause event, hosted by Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley. The title for the event theme was “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Bra”, and people from the community came to the public silent action to bid for a carefully crafted and creative brassiere of their choosing. The proceeds will be used to support the Soroptimist International Club’s desire to improve the lives of girls and women in the SCV.
