Cards Now Available for Purchase, Loading at Saugus Drug & Hallmark
Due to popular demand, the City of Santa Clarita has expanded the sales locations for the Transit Access Pass (TAP) cards. Now, Saugus Drugs & Hallmark, located at 27641 Bouquet Canyon Road, will be open for Transit Access Pass purchase and reloading.
The City of Santa Clarita launched the TAP program locally in June, 2009. TAP is Los Angeles County’s new, cash-free system for transit fare payment. The pre-loaded card allows riders to pay transit fees, eliminating the need to carry exact change.
“Because the City of Santa Clarita has seen such demand for the new TAP cards, local sales locations have been added to accommodate City of Santa Clarita Transit Riders,” said Mayor Frank Ferry. “With the addition of the new purchasing and reloading location at Saugus Drug & Hallmark, community members can find it even easier to take advantage City Transit.”
Saugus Drug & Hallmark accepts cash and check only as payment for reloading and purchasing TAP cards. Saugus Drugs and Hallmark will not distribute temporary reduced fare cards; however, they will accept reduced-fare applications for submission.
City Hall and the Transit Maintenance Facility are still available to issue temporary reduced fare TAP cards in return for completed applications. City Hall is located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard. The City’s Transit Maintenance Facility is located at 28250 Constellation Road.
