On Wednesday, November 4, Audiologist Nola Aaronson of Audiology Associates will speak on “Are You Having Trouble Understanding?” from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Activity Rooms 1 and 2 of the SCV Senior Center, 22900 Market Street.
Other consumer lectures for November at the SCV Senior Center will be:
Wednesday, November 11: Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital physician Dr. Ronald Schwartz will present a timely lecture on influenza and colds.
Wednesday, November 18: Primerica Financial Services Regional Vice President Thomas Reilly will discuss “Long-Term Care Insurance.” Adult children of seniors as well as seniors are encouraged to attend.
Wednesday, November 25: No lecture: Happy Thanksgiving!
All lectures are from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Activity Rooms 1 and 2 of the SCV Senior Center, 22900 Market Street.
Free cake and important insurance information! On Tuesday, November 17 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., HealthNet’s Jeannette Oganova will provide party cake and an “open enrollment” HealthNet Insurance presentation in the dining room.
In addition, the following free health clinics will be offered at the SCV Senior Center:
Wednesday, November 11: Registered Dietitian Lori Robinson will provide free glucose testing from 11 a.m. to noon in the Day Care Office.
Wednesday, November 18: Hearing Clinic by Audiology Services of Newhall, 11 a.m.–noon in the Respite Office. These screenings are intended for people who do not wear hearing aids, although the audiologist welcomes questions from everyone.
Every Wednesday: Free blood pressure checks performed by registered nurses, noon to 1 p.m. in Activity Room 3.
Note: there will be not be any foot screenings in November.
