Family owned for the past 25-plus years, this car has a lot of sentimental history. “It was my father’s dream car when it first came out in 63, but as a young man just starting a family and career, he was unable to afford the new car cost of $4,385.” Eventually he was able to get that car of his dreams. Dan’s folks detailed and showed the car for a number of years, before passing it down to Dan and his family to enjoy. “Dad even chauffeured my sister and brother-in-law from the church to their wedding reception in this car”, says Dan. The car has won numerous awards including a best in class win at the Rancho Palos Verdes Concours D’Elegance held at Trump National Golf Course and most recently a class win at the National Riviera Owners Association meet in Sacramento. It’s the joy of sharing a classic vehicle that took a great deal of hard work, time and money with others who have owned, or knew someone who had owned one of these true classics, that Dan enjoys the most.
