Assistance League held their annual “Sunset in the Vineyard” fundraiser Sunday, November 8 at the picturesque home and Compa Vineyard of Jeannie, Chris and Tim Carpenter. Over 300 guests enjoyed an afternoon of wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres and a scrumptious cheese and fruit display donated by Bristol Farms. The amazing variety of wines were all from Santa Clarita vintners.
Highlights of the event include informal presentations by the winemakers, raffle and auction prizes. This year’s winners were: a Firehouse Dinner – Marian Power, Dinner with the Vintners – Curt & Annie Behlmer, TPC foursome – Curt & Annie Behlmer, 2002 Joseph Phelps Insignia – Curt & Annie Behlmer, a Sailing Cruise (donated by Betsy and Kenny Linn) – Peter Troesch, Winter Vines (painting) – Mr. and Mrs. Jim McClafferty, 2007 Sea Smoke Pinot Noir – M J Casarez
This annual fundraising event benefits the Santa Clarita Valley with proceeds going to Assistance League programs. On behalf of Assistance League, this year’s Chairmen Stacey Mayfield and Betsy Linn would like to thank the community for their ongoing support of the Santa Clarita Chapter.
