The Santa Clarita star-o-meter was up last year as many celebrities were seen around our town, making my job as Mamarazzi, an easy one! From actors like Tony Shalhoub from Monk, Kim Fields, a.k.a. “Tootie” from The Facts of Life, and the handsome public defender from TNT’s Raising the Bar, Mark Paul Gosselaar to famed athletes like boxing’s Floyd Mayweather, Jr., seven time Cy Young award recipient Roger Clemens and NBA’s Clyde “The Glide” Drexler, to musicians like Trace Cyrus or country singer LeeAnn Rimes, it was indeed a star-studded 2009. Thank you, Santa Clarita, keep em’ coming!
Castaic resident, Stayci Donihue spotted some of the players from Major League Soccer’s Chivas USA team. “They were kind of enough to take a picture with me,” stated Stayci. “I’m a huge soccer fan, too!” Club Deportivo Chivas USA, founded in 2004, plays its home games at the Home Depot Center in Carson, along with the Los Angeles Galaxy.
You may recognize him from the hit television sitcom, Hannah Montana where he is best known for his role as Oliver Oken. Actor and teen heartthrob Mitchel Musso was spotted by Stevenson Ranch resident, Austin Randall. Mitchel also plays Jeremy Johnson in Disney Channel’s animated series Phineas and Ferb and has also lent the voice of DJ for the computer-animated film Monster House. Thank you, Austin, for sending in your picture!
Santa Clarita resident, Marlene Pelletier spotted Larry Birkhead. Larry was a former partner of Anna Nicole Smith and fathered her daughter, Dannielynn. Marlene saw Larry in the Burbank Mall a few months ago and he was kind enough to take a photo with her.
