Valentine’s Day gift ideas typically bring to mind images of flowers, chocolate and candy hearts.  When you consider the shelf life of those items they probably don’t last much longer than the greeting card they accompany; a couple of days or possibly a week. If you are looking for something more meaningful, and something that will not wilt, melt or get stale; consider presenting your loved one with the gift of custom framing.  For your sweetheart, find a photo of your first date, your first vacation or a special moment you shared together.  The photo can be framed alone or with a piece of memorabilia enclosed, such as a matchbook from the restaurant you dined at, a brochure from the town you visited or the Playbill from the Broadway production you attended.  If you’re still leaning towards a traditional gift, consider framing some pressed flowers and a candy heart inscribed with a special message.  They’ll last a lot longer in a frame and will probably score you some brownie points too.
