Now is a time to raise the awareness of the need for every child in America to have a safe, loving and permanent home.  With 129,000 children currently in foster care, Children’s Bureau is seeking caring families to consider adoption.  The agency is holding a monthly information meeting for those interested in learning more on Thursday, February 18, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Six Flags Magic Mountain Administrative Offices, located at 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia.  Call 661-272-9996 to R.S.V.P., to receive directions and to have a drive-on pass to the property.
Children’s Bureau has finalized over 1,000 adoptions for families across six counties in Southern California.  Individuals (single or married), teachers, retired persons and anyone interested in helping at-risk children find the love, stability and support a family can provide are encouraged to contact Children’s Bureau.  Qualifying families receive training, certification, benefits (including medical for the children) and 24-hour support to aid in the care of their foster or adoptive children.
For over 100 years, Children’s Bureau has been a nonprofit leader in the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect.  More than 14,000 children and families are helped each year throughout Southern California with services that include school readiness, parenting classes, family resource centers, support groups, mental health counseling, foster care, adoption and more.
