As the New Year starts, I have been reflecting on the past year and the current economical crisis in the U.S. It is so sad to see what has happened to so many friends, family and people in the news who are faced with such financial challenges due to the economy. It makes me even more thankful though to know how lucky my family has been and how lucky I am to have had such loyal wonderful friends and customers who support our local store here in the Santa Clarita Valley. Santa Clarita is such a warm wonderful place to raise children and it often reminds me of the valley where I grew up when I was a child. I told myself that I would love to do something as a “give back” to the community in which I hold high respect.
I have a love for crafts especially scrap booking and rubber stamping. I have often heard from people who visit us at The Crafters Connection say that they would love to do some of the projects we do here in the store, well here is your opportunity. From January through May 2010 I would like to offer a free class to the first three sign ups for each and every class we hold (and we hold the most classes of any stores I know). We will offer that you can take a free class of your choice, however to keep it fair and open the opportunity up to others, only one free class can be taken in that time period. The class you choose can be one of our beginning classes or advanced, it’s your choice. Our commitment to you is that you will not only learn how to complete your free project, but you will have a lot of fun, meet new people, and create and preserve some wonderful memories. So, if you’re interested, please call the store and sign up a week in advance so we can ensure a spot for you in that class. You can come by the store and see our samples or you can visit us at www.crafterconnection.com to see our monthly calendar of classes.
Wishing you and your families a healthy, Happy 2010 from all your friends at The Crafters Connection – Carol, Kathy, Marian, Erin, Lisa and Dillon.
