We are proud to announce that Santa Clarita School of Dental Assisting (SCSDA) is celebrating the four-year anniversary in the Santa Clarita Valley. SCSDA is an accelerated dental assisting program where people can embark upon a new career in dentistry in 10 weeks (Saturdays). We train dental assistants in a state of the art dental office using the latest technology available. The new assistants get to step into the dental office from the first day of class on. They are immediately assimilating into the dental office and training in actual operatories. Mannequins are used instead of patients for most of the training, so that the students can build confidence. Most of the training is held on Saturdays so to minimally interfere with family and workdays.
Dental assisting can be used as a stepping stone toward other careers in dentistry, as we are proud to boast that some of our former students have continued on to dental school, and dental hygiene school. In addition to dental assisting, SCSDA also offers quick courses in California State Radiology, Pit and Fissure Sealants, and Coronal Polishing. Our next open house is March 10, and our next training session begins April 10.
