Remodeling fever is sweeping across America, even in the middle of a not-so-great economy.  Why?  Instead of moving to bigger or newer houses, homeowners are loving the ones they’re in and making some much-needed improvements.  The bathroom is one of the most popular living spaces targeted for remodel: here are some of the top trends for 2010.
Great Big Showers – Busy Americans are investing in more practical, larger shower spaces.  In fact, many homeowners are choosing to have the old bathtub removed altogether in favor of expanding the shower.  Two-for-one is the big trend: double-headed showers so that both partners can get ready at the same time!  And don’t forget the fancy plumbing: why enjoy two shower heads when you can have full-body coverage with six or more?
Heated Floors – For the ultimate in luxury, homeowners are saying “no” to icy cold floor tiles and yes to heated ones instead.  Radiant electric heating mesh is placed under new tiles when the floor is installed; this in turn is connected to a thermostat for easy regulation.  One of the least expensive but most valued remodels, an entire bathroom can become warm to the tootsies for less than 500 dollars.
“There has never been a better time for Americans to remodel there kitchens and bathrooms, so take advantage,” says Lee Soffer RDM President, “start with calling us, I will personally arrive to your home, and will personally be involved in the process from planning, designing and construction, no pushy salesmen.  Utilizing my experience knowledge and visualizing tolls, a homeowner can save latterly thousands.  I spend a significant amount of time on the design phase, going over pictures, ideas, and physical samples with the homeowner way in advance of the project starting date.”
