You won’t want to miss out on the Child & Family Center’s Taste of the Town, on Sunday, May 2 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Mann Biomedical Park. Now in its 22nd year, the event will feature over 30 of Santa Clarita’s restaurants, caterers, and wine and ale purveyors, offering only the finest for event goers.
Tickets are at a special low price of $50 and $85 for reserved seating. These tickets will allow guests to peruse the grounds and sample unlimited tastes from all the vendors. Live entertainment, silent auction, opportunity drawings and the champagne diamond drop will be amongst the many festivities on the day of the event.
The Champagne Diamond Drop, sponsored by Classic Designs Jewelry, has become a signature for Taste of the Town and something everyone looks forward to year after year. Owner Apo Yessayan has selected a one-carat diamond which he hand-picks himself in Belgium. Guests may purchase a glass of champagne for $25. One person will be the lucky winner of the diamond. If you can’t attend, but would like a chance to win (minus the champagne of course), purchase tickets online at www.tasteofthetown.com and you’ll be entered in the drawing. Winner will be selected and announced at Taste of the Town on Sunday, May 2.
“Mark LeVang and Friends” will return this year along with special guest appearances by two former American Idol Contestants Brandon Rogers and Rudy Cardenas. Radio personality Frank Lozano will be the M.C. for the afternoon.
